Chicago Sculpture International, in collaboration with East Chicago (Indiana) Parks and Recreation, is seeking proposals from artists for the 2018-2019 East Chicago Art in the Parks Exhibition.
Works must be large scale and suitable for outdoors. They will be placed on grass in a park. Sculptures will be on view for one year, from August 2018 to August 2019 (exact dates to be determined). Each sculpture will receive a $2000 stipend.
Sculptures must be available for August 2018 installation.
Application Deadline: Friday, July 27, 2018, 11:59 PM CST
Eligibility: CSI membership. If not currently a member, artists must become members upon acceptance into the exhibit. Also, exhibitors must have “Commercial General Liability Insurance (Primary and Umbrella) on an occurrence basis with limits not less than $1,000,000 single limit per occurrence and $2,000,000 in the aggregate for bodily injury, personal injury and property damage. East Chicago Parks and Recreation is to be named as an Additional Insured on a Primary, non-contributory basis.”

Submit the application along with two digital images each of a maximum of two sculptures. Please send images as jpegs (sized 5" x 8", 150 DPI, 500kb or less), and indicate the file name in the following format: 1.Lastname_title.jpg (e.g., 1. Rodin_The Thinker, front view.jpg; 2.
